Have you been trying to conceive for months without any success? Sure, some people try for much longer than others before they have a baby. But if you have been trying for months without progress, there could be something else going on.

Many women struggle to get pregnant, and a surprising number of these cases occur without a woman knowing why she’s having trouble conceiving. She could be going to fertility doctors for months without any success, as problems can occur while one still looks normal on basic tests. You may be shocked to find out that a high number of cases of infertility are due to Endometriosis.

In fact, over 11% of women suffer from Endometriosis, experiencing extremely painful periods, and many of them do so without even realizing that their pain is caused by the disorder. It can sometimes be hidden by birth control, as well, which subdues the pain of the disorder. So, if you are just coming off birth control to try to conceive, it is a real concern that you may have Endometriosis. In fact, most don’t know that, among other things, the disorder can keep you from getting pregnant. This was the case with model Marketa Janska.

Many women like Marketa work hard to try and build their families. And the reality is that they go to fertility doctor after fertility doctor to be told that they look normal, but they aren’t able to conceive. That’s why you need to find a doctor that you can trust to help you if you are having trouble conceiving- one who will be patient and give you all the time to consider every option. A credible doctor who sees no other signs of infertility should provide you with a biopsy test, which can tell you if you have Endometriosis cells in your uterus.

What exactly is Endometriosis? Endometriosis is a disorder where tissue similar to that which lines the interior of your uterus grows outside of your uterus. Though not inside the uterus, the tissue still acts as if it normally would and thickens, breaks down, and bleeds during menstruation. Because it is outside of the uterus, it becomes trapped in your body in places it shouldn’t be and can eventually cause the tissue in your body to become irritated, scar, or even band to organs.

According to the Office of Women’s Health, Endometriosis is a relatively common and painful disorder that affects 11% of women between the ages of 15 and 44 years old. It is most common among 30 and 40-year-olds.

It’s very likely that more than 11% of women have it, but only 11% realize it. And it does keep women from conceiving, though many do not even realize that nor realize that they even have the disorder at all. Most women feel it’s natural for their menstrual cycle to be that painful, so they don’t question that something else may be wrong. But if you are having trouble getting pregnant, please consider that Endometriosis could be the reason why and get properly tested for it. That way, you can get the right treatment needed and have your miracle baby!
